"This has been a nice upgrade from the desktop it replaced. I have another, older Toshiba laptop which has performed admirably and, so far, this new laptop has worked without fault, exactly as advertised. The memory and big screen make it wonderful for watching tv shows that I miss due to a busy lifestyle. The OS has not been a problem for me. Another USB port would be helpful."

"This is by far the best computer I have ever had everything about it is perfect the keyboard is not like a laptop keyboard more like a full size keyboard very easy to type on it. Screen is beautiful out of the box. No adjustments needed. I use this more than my Gateway desktop now is so much better and faster. This is my first Toshiba computer, but I would buy a desktop from them if they made them."

"Got this one to replace another Satellite that died 3 weeks after the warranty ran out... go figure. I wasn't going to get another one, just hard to find a better laptop with a 17" screen for the money. All in all a good value. Speed isn't that bad. We use it mainly for saving and light editing of pics/video from the cameras and the internet when you don't want to be at the desk. About the only thing I didn't care for is the keyboard, it does feel cheap."

"Love the satellite...their rebate program is a jip..Just another way for them to make more $s .If you throw out the box you can't get the rebate. No sales rep will tell you this and there is no warning on the package. just a yellow sheet of paper you find after the box is in the dump"

"i've had this model for 2 weeks, and love the look, feel, and overall vibes so far. the only hardware issue is the relatiely medium grade speakers, but since i use this as a desktop and connect jbl mini's, i don't care. The only other issue has been with windows internet explorer re: google page freezing,but the tech people at Toshiba have been STELLAR in their help, information, and overall experise and advise. I am very impressed with a new tech device which allows them to "take over your computer" while you are talking to them and fix it for you while you watch!!!!! EXCELLENT"
