"I have had two Toshiba laptops. About eight months ago I purchased a now-discontinued Toshiba Satellite laptop, in the A215 series, with comparable features to the L305D-S5870 for about 60% of list price. It has been serviceable, but with these problems: (1) The Athlos b/g wireless card hasn't worked well with two successive wireless routers; throughput is minimal and Internet Explorer frequently drops out, even though the router is just across the room, while an HP laptop purchased at twice the price works great; (2) what functions as the left-click part of a mouse has begun to stick; (3) Microsoft Works is no substitute for Microsoft Office; and (4) battery life is no more than an hour under any circumstances. I am considering upgrading to an n wireless card."

"this is my third toshiba laptop and I have never had any big issues only normal wear and tear i recommend this product to anybody looking for a great laptop easy to use"

"This is my second laptop and I love it. My first was an HP Pavilion and I had trouble with it from day one. After my disk drive burned out a second time in a year, I finally decided to buy a cheaper laptop and, if any expensive parts went bad, it wouldn't hurt so much to dump it at a recycle site and buy another cheap laptop. Surprise, surprise - "cheaper" doesn't always mean "less quality." This laptop outperforms the HP in every area - price, performance and overall satisfaction. The battery (and charge) is far superior to HP. I dreaded having to use Windows Vista since XP was such a great operating system (OS), but the new version it came with is very easy to use and causes no problems. I believe Toshiba will reach their goal - to be number one in laptops in the very near future!"

"I have been using my laptop for about two months now. Although it has windows Vista I am getting used to it and find it is quite simple. I have had no shut downs with this laptop. My old one would shut down on me often. This is a great laptop with a very good price."

"This is my 4th Toshiba laptop. They are great. Each one was an update, but the older one continued to be used. One went to Aphganistan with my son so he could communicate with us daily. Another has gone to my grandson. I would recommend a Toshiba to anyone."
