"I've been using this computer for just a little longer than three months, and so far it's been great. I got some upgrades (the i7 chip, the better screen and keyboard, and a discrete nvidia graphics card). The screen is gorgeous, the speakers are excellent, and overall it functions remarkably well.
The are only a few problems I have with it. The vent placement on the right side will become uncomfortable if you use a separate mouse, and gaming can be annoying since your hand gets very hot unless you're careful to keep it far enough away. The touchpad is terrible, and the placement is really awkward -- every time I try to type, my palm ends up moving the mouse somewhere else where it inevitably clicks and switches windows on me, so I have to disable the touchpad any time I'm typing more than a few lines. Finally, the laptop seems more fragile than my previous one, and I wouldn't lift it up by the screen, or carry it around with one hand.
The only other problem I encountered was dual-booting linux. The drivers are quite new, so the special function keys and graphics drivers and other things didn't work very well, and it was a pain to get it to dual boot at all because of some of the new machine features, like the secure boot or whatever that's called.
Overall though, I'm very happy with this laptop. It's got a lot of screen real-estate so I can program with two windows in my text editor and even a browser window (tablet sized) side-by-side. It can also handle games like Planetside 2 at almost-highest graphics settings (note that I got the second graphics card upgrade)."

"Multi-tasking this computer is no problem." I have ran multiple programs, like a virus scan and windows defender scan & also surf the internet and have no slowdowns like the older single and duo core computers did. I upgraded from a laptop with a duel core AMD Athlon II P360 2.3 GHz and this is a big improvement with the quad core 4th generation 2.4 GHZ processor with turbo boost up to 3.4 GHZ, for those who don’t know this quad core with hyper threading will look like 8 cores when you pull up your task manager. I have not had any heat problems in fact the only place that even gets warm is the Blu-ray burner and of course the blowers vent. Windows experience score 5.9 All scores- Processor: calculations per second 7.6 Memory (RAM) memory operations per second 7.7 Graphics: desktop performance for windows aero 6.8 Gaming graphics: 3D business and graphics performance 6.8 Hard disk: disk data transfer rate 5.9
Handles everything I have thrown at it with power to spare.
This is how mine was configured for comparison.
